‘York is having one very lucky weekend!’
York hosts three fun festivals this weekend – and it’s set to be warm and sunny too.
No wonder Michael Hjort declares: “York is having one very lucky weekend!”
The three festivals are
- York Food & Drink Festival
- York Creatives Night Market
- The Gin & Rum Festival.
“All three events are walking distance from each other and based in the city centre,” said Michael, the food fest director.
And if you’re full after all that food and drink, why not join the York Walking Festival, which starts tomorrow?

The founder of the Gin and Rum Festival, Bobby Nanua, said: “I am delighted to have the Gin and Rum Festival inside the stunning York Minster! After the success we had in 2019, selling out the festival in over 30 cities, we’re so excited to be back.”
York Food Festival and York Creatives Night Market both are free entry. Gin & Rum Festival tickets are only £15 and include a Copa glass, satchel and reusable straw.
