It’s been an unpredictable eighteen months to say the least. As a public venue, Tang Hall Community Centre was officially closed for most of this time, though the space was put to good use during the various lockdowns, as a local authority hub.
During the summer of 2020, and as a result of a number of organisations and the community coming together, more than 6,000 free hot, nutritious meals were delivered to local residents in need.
Restrictions were fully lifted in August. Understandably, however, people may still be hesitant about holding an in-person get-together for their child’s birthday or christening.
How to book
Children’s parties can be booked up to the age of 13.

Groups may also worry about whether they’d be able to deliver their course, workshops, craft classes or fitness sessions whilst also ensuring attendees’ safety.
Given how long we’ve been distanced from each other, we believe it’s now worth the effort to arrange a class, event or function that brings people together. For almost two years, people have not had the choice.
Now they do, and it would be wonderfully heartening for all of us at Tang Hall Community Centre to see it as busy and buzzing as it was before Covid came on the scene.
The pandemic isn’t over, but we’ve adapted well to the coronavirus being an ongoing part of our lives. So much so, that we feel confident that in-person/group events and functions can – and should – go ahead (in a responsible manner, of course).
Tang Hall Community Centre has a large sports hall and grounds, a recently refurbished commercial kitchen and a cosy lounge, all of which are available for hire.
Winter will soon be upon us, which naturally makes us want to hibernate away – so, families and group organisers, before yet another year passes by, make the most of current freedoms and the dry weather and book the centre for your function or event.
