Woman sexually assaulted at York station

The man British Transport Police want to talk to

A woman was sexually assaulted at York railway station – and police want to talk to this man in connection with the incident.

The assault happened on 2 December at approximately 12.30am. The victim was making her way up the stairs from platform 11 when she was sexually assaulted by a man behind her.

She challenged him, and his friend told her: “He was only messing about.”

British Transport Police officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help their enquiries.

They would also like to hear from any members of the public who witnessed the incident.
