This woman has escaped from a prison near York.
Donna Willis, 36, was serving a five-year sentence following her conviction at Newcastle Crown Court for grievous bodily harm.
She absconded from HMP Askham Grange, near York, on Wednesday (April 19).
North Yorkshire Police believe Willis may have travelled north, and enquiries are largely focused around the Northumbria area.
She is described as white, with a slim build, and blonde and brown hair.
She is originally from the Tyne and Wear area.
Anyone with information about Willis’s whereabouts is urged not to approach her but to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and select option 1, or dial 999 if the sighting is immediate.
