A woman who was struck by a car earlier this week has died from her injuries.
The collision happened at around 5.10pm on Monday (8 January) on the A63 Main Road in Hambleton.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said she “sadly passed away in hospital on Tuesday evening.
“Her family are being supported by the police while enquiries continue into the incident.
“The appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage is ongoing.”

Woman fighting for her life after being struck by a car near Selby
A woman who was struck by a car is fighting for her life in hospital.
The collision happened at around 5.10pm yesterday (Monday) on the A63 Main Road in Hambleton.
A woman pedestrian and a grey Ford Focus car were in collision between the junctions of Station Road and Wheatsheaf Court.
The woman, who is aged in her mid-70s, was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition.
The woman who was driving the Ford Focus is assisting officers with the investigation.
