The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, aka Will Smith, is headed to Scarborough this summer.
The global superstar is coming to the Yorkshire coast this summer as part of the tour for his new album ‘Based on a True Story’. The show will see him performing songs from the new album along with his classic hits including Jiggy Wit It, Miami, Summertime and more.
Will Smith is performing at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 24 August 2025.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday 21 March at 10am from the Scarborough Open Air Theatre website.
‘Based on a True Story’ will be Will Smith’s first full-length album in 20 years, and he recently hit No.1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart with You Can Make It featuring Fridayy and Sunday Service Choir.
A Grammy-award winning artist, actor, and multifaceted entertainer, he’s starred on screen in hits like Men in Black, Aladdin, I Am Legend, Independance Day, King Richard, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Will Smith joins Basement Jaxx, Pendulum, Rag’n’Bone Man, Snow Patrol, Judas Priest, Blossoms, Shed Seven, Texas, The Corrs, Gary Barlow, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and The Script to headline a summer of music at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
