Pumpkins are ready! Our PYO Pumpkins are ready to pick, and – even if picked now – will last all the way until Halloween (and further!) No pre-booking required.

Pumpkin Picking at Castle Howard
The Castle Howard Garden Centre Pumpkin Patch is back for the third year running! Explore the patch and choose your perfect pumpkin. Whether small, medium, or large, we’ve got varying sizes and colours for carving, decorating and making the most of the spooky season!

Humble Bee’s Pumpkin Patch
Pick your very own pumpkin and carve it in our undercover barn. Take an exciting walk around our Halloween Spooky Trail – new for 2023, with two trails to complete, including one for younger visitors. Enjoy our Farmyard Gang including Tilly our Shetland Pony, donkeys, goats, alpacas, guinea pigs, hens and ducks.

Kemps Farm (Malton)
We have planted lots of new varieties this year so we have white, blue, yellow, pink and of course orange pumpkins to choose from, from big to small – the choice is yours. Pick up your Wheelbarrow and off you go, with lots of photo opportunities around the field.

William’s Den’s Pumpkin Experience
Experience the sights and smells of the new season and of course, pick your own pumpkins to take home and carve, paint, decorate and cook. Lace up your boots, slip on your gloves and head out to pick the perfect pumpkin. Knobbly ones, wrinkly ones, different shapes and sizes, there is a bountiful supply of shiny pumpkins, quirky gourds and lumpy squashes. There is an ideal pumpkin for everyone.

Yorkshire Pumpkins
This year we’ve grown even more pumpkins than before – we have carving pumpkins ranging from so small they’ll fit in a toddlers hand up to ones that will fill a wheelbarrow! We have also grown even more of the delicious eating varieties this year and lots of different decorative pumpkins – all shapes, colours and sizes! There’s a pumpkin for everyone!
