THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER
Fresh for 2021 experience Power It: Through demonstrations and crafting activities, we explore the different types of energy used in the past, present, and the future of the railways. Just drop in at our Inspiration Station to explore the future of our railways (no additional booking required).
Delve deeper into the fascinating stories of the museum’s historic site with Sound Tracks, our new audio trail.
Hop aboard our Miniature Railway for a little taste of train travel—or for the full-size experience explore Station Hall and Great Hall which are packed with the giants of the railways including our superstars Mallard and Rocket.
Re-live Mallard’s record-breaking run on the Mallard Experience, before recharging with delicious treats, snacks and hot meals in our restaurant or café. Further treats and gifts for loved ones can be found in our shop.
Children with energy to burn will enjoy our under-5s play area and outdoor play area.
