West End and TV star Zoe Birkett will perform as Tina Turner in an upcoming Sounds in the Grounds concert.

This time, live music will fill the grounds of Ripley Castle near Harrogate on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August.

Zoe Birkett will star as Tina Turner in One Night of Tina on Saturday 21 August in a rock and rollercoaster ride through four decades of Tina’s greatest hits.

Zoe first shot to fame on ITV’s original Pop Idol alongside eventual winner Will Young and runner-up Gareth Gates.

She has since performed in numerous West End shows such as The Bodyguard, Thriller Live and Rock of Ages, as well as an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. The weekend of live music will kick off with The Definitive Rat Pack on Friday 20 August, where audiences can relive the golden era of swing.

Then to conclude will be Patrick Myers as Freddie Mercury in Killer Queen on Sunday 22 August, which will recreate the iconic songs and showmanship of one of the greatest ever rock bands.

Also, returning by popular demand, York’s very own The New York Brass Band will get the party going each evening as the support act.
