Here’s an amazing wildlife video, shot in the heart of York city centre.
It shows a fox using the York city walls as its hunting ground.
The footage was shot on the stretch of the walls that runs parallel to Station Road.
Reddit user thefullness captured the footage, who must now be considered York’s own Sir David Attenborough!
It shows the animal on the walls spotting something moving in the grass, and then pouncing.
Next, it has the small mammal, probably a rat, in its jaws. After dropping it a couple of times, the fox gets its firmly in its jaws.
It canters past thefullness, looking straight into the camera lens, and casually heads towards the city centre.
As one Reddit user put it: “Brilliant footage. Wildlife in an urban environment is always great viewing, but throw in historic landmarks… First class!”
