YorkMix have teamed up with York Food Festival to bring a week of cookery fun for schools and families.
The much-loved food festival is in full swing, and here’s how you can make some tasty treats of your own.
YorkMix Radio hosts Laura and Leigh, along with Mixie the Monster, will be joining local schools to take part in the Food Factory cookery workshops – where kids will be getting hands on to try making bread, pasta, chocolate lollipops and more.
The Schools Programme will welcome over 1000 children over the festival week to have a go at the cookery experiences.
The workshops will take place at the Museum Gardens and St Crux Church.
Families can also get involved too – as the Food Factory cookery workshops are open to everyone over evenings and weekends. And the best part is, it’s completely free!
All the workshops are open to all ages and there’s no booking required. Simply turn up and have fun.
The family sessions will take place from Monday 25 to Friday 29 September, from 3pm to 4pm and Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October, from 10am to 4pm.
