It turns out it’s not just their buses that are nice little movers – so are the drivers!
A fantastic new video has just been released showing that Arriva Selby staff know how to shake it up.
They are doing internet craze the Jerusalema Dance Challenge all along the 415 route from Selby to York.
Bus driver Giselle Kiddy had seen the dances on YouTube and put up a poster at work to see if anyone would volunteer to be part of their own version. And she got lots of volunteers.
She told David Dunning’s Late Show on YorkMix Radio: “None of them had ever danced before. And they picked it up really quick.
“We met at the depot – we all have different shifts, so it was quite complicated getting us all together. But we did it on Sunday mornings.
“We only rehearsed twice for about an hour and a half – and we filmed it in a different locations and edited it all in ten days.”
Driver Jay Bond did a great filming and editing job. The video was only posted yesterday and has already had 3.2K views.
Arriva thinks it’s brilliant, says Giselle. And she’s rightly delighted with it too.
“I had in my head what I wanted it to look like and it’s come out perfect. Absolutely perfect.”
