Watch: Armed police descend on York suburb and break down door to arrest suspect
This was the moment when armed police descended on a York street in pursuit of a suspect.
They arrived at an address on Hewley Avenue, Tang Hall, at about 12.30am on Saturday and were there for more than three hours.
Neighbours shared the video with YorkMix after the operation at the weekend.
One resident told YorkMix they used a power saw to try and enter the property, as well as a battering ram.
Witnesses said about eight armed officers, some with dogs, took part in the operation. Residents were kept awake until 4am when an arrest was made.
Some said they thought the response was over the top from police.
