Warning to visitors parking near a North Yorkshire beauty spot
People visiting a North Yorkshire beauty spot be warned – they are cracking down on illegal parking.
At one point on Tuesday around 50 cars were parking on the road at Sheepwash, Osmotherley.
North Yorkshire County Council parking enforcement officers have been issuing tickets and will continue to monitor the area.
The road is subject to a clearway order which means it’s illegal to park on the roadside or verges and anyone doing so is likely to receive a parking ticket.
With the stay at home rule ending, the county council is encouraging everyone to minimise travel whenever possible and respect the area they’re visiting.
