And now Print Stuff develops this tradition with its innovative – and free – print and publishing fair.
Set up by York-based collaborators Jamie Mills, Megan Wellington-Barratt and Kris Sale, the inaugural fair will showcase the diversities of the print and publishing world – and introduce new voices to add to the culture and spirit of it all.
From comics to textiles
The fair focuses on the dynamic uses of printmaking and the links between the various types from illustration, graphic design, photography, poetry, artist books and much more.
With more than 40 artists and designers exhibiting work, there’ll be no shortage of authentic and handmade exhibits to browse and buy.
Actually on display at the fair will be everything to do with printmaking and publishing from magazines, textile goods, greeting cards, comics, ceramics and so many more exciting and authentic works.
Those who go will not only have the opportunity to buy the goods but also open up creative conversations with the makers and share experiences in publishing.
There’s also a free drop-in workshop for visitors to get first-hand experience in printmaking. It is run by Leeds Print Workshop and starts at midday.
