A driver was injured after his car crashed into the back of a lorry in the rush hour this morning (Friday).
Emergency services were called to the A64 near Tadcaster at 7.49am after the collision.
Fire crews from Tadcaster, York and Acomb went to the scene.

A Volvo V40 had collided with the rear trailer of an HGV.
One man was “trapped in the Volvo but was able to self rescue under the supervision of paramedics and fire crew”, a North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said.
He was taken to hospital with possible pelvic injuries and abrasions.
Part of the road was closed for nearly four hours after the collision.
