From dancing babies to De La Soul, this epic mini movie captures the essence of the YO1 Festival 2014 in less than five minutes.
Produced by Kev Curran of Inspired Youth, the video gives an access all areas guide to the massive one-day event, Sunday May 4, 2014, when thousands of city music lovers assembled on Knavesmire to eat, drink and dance.
The third YO1 Festival was its biggest, and by common consent, best yet.
The dedicated local music lovers who organise it have seen visitor numbers rise from 1,000 to 6,000 in that time.
Headliners De La Soul say hello in their inimitable way on the video. Other musicians on the six stages included Sub Focus, Danny Howard, Mistajam, Pulled Apart By Horses and Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.
The film captures the essence of YO1 – young and old partying side by side in safe and happy unison.
Organisers have a lot to do to keep their promise of bigger and better things next time round.
YO1 returns and launches the festival season on May 3, 2015.
