The Queen was in York today.
Queen Camilla arrived at York Station having travelled on an LNER service into the city.
Accompanied by her security detail, she then walked through to the short stay car park, where her car was waiting.
Watch: The Queen leaves York Station
The Queen waved to the people who had gathered to take pictures and videos of her unscheduled appearance.
Then the black Audi unmarked police car took her out of the station, followed by her security.
Witnesses at the station said their attention was drawn to a group of people in dark suits – and then they recognised the Queen at the centre.
She was wearing a dark blazer and carrying a tan handbag. The King wasn’t with her.
The Queen had no official royal events listed in the court circular today, so was most likely on private business.
