A woman was found dead in York today.
Police have described it as a suspicious death and have arrested a man.
They were called to Albert Street this morning at about 11.30am.

At least four police vans, one police car, two ambulances and paramedic cars are in the area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating the suspicious death of a woman aged in her 60s who was reportedly found inside an address on Albert Street in York just before 11.30am today (Thursday).
“A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is being held in custody for questioning.
“We believe it was an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.
“Nevertheless, we have stepped up reassurance patrols in the area while our enquiries continue at the scene.”
