Four women who police wanted to speak to following a homophobic assault in a York takeaway last year have been identified and are assisting officers with their enquiries.
The incident occurred at Yummy Chicken on Pavement on the evening of 30 October last year when a man was subjected to homophobic abuse from a group of females, before being physically attacked by them.
Officers have thanked everyone who called in with information and the media who assisted with the appeal.

Police want to talk to them following a homophobic attack which took place at a takeaway in York.
A man was subject to homophobic abuse from a group of women, before being physically attacked by them, at Yummy Chicken on Pavement.
It happened on the evening of Saturday 30 October last year.
Police say a number of witnesses intervened in the incident and prevented it from escalating further, “and so we would like to hear from these people as well”.
