Updated: Bus and car collide on the A64 – Road reopens

A car and a bus collided on the A64 north of York this morning (Friday).

The incident happened near the Jinnah Restaurant. At 10.43am, police said the road was closed and asked people to avoid the A64 between Malton and Scarborough.

No injuries have been reported. The road has now reopened.

It was the second crash on this stretch of road, following one at the junction with Towthorpe Moor Lane shortly before 9am which left the A64 partially blocked.

Traffic was said to be suffering from ‘severe delays’. But from 10.30am it started to ease after all lanes were reopened.

Then the second collision happened near the Jinnah.
