Presenter of The X Factor Dermot O’Leary was in York at the weekend.
The TV and radio broadcaster took part in the Brass Monkey half marathon on Sunday, organised by the York Knavesmire Harriers.
Dermot, who has a BBC Radio 2 show and also co-hosts ITV’s This Morning on Fridays, joined his sister Nicky and 1,500 runners in the race, which started and finished at York Racecourse.

On Instagram, Dermot said: “Well, The Brass Monkey lived up to its name. Cracking run with my big sis. (Think smarter, funnier, better looking). Thanks York.”
This year’s Brass Monkey run was hailed as a big success. It was cancelled last year due to the pandemic restrictions.
The winner was Kieran Walker, 23, from Durham.
