YorkMix has teamed up with our friends at York Designer Outlet & Asda at Monks Cross for the Toy Appeal 2022
We are working together to help ensure that no child wakes up on Christmas Day without a gift. And that is why the YorkMix Radio Toy Appeal is back!
While most of us look forward to Christmas there are some children for whom it is just another day. Every year there are families who through no fault of their own dread the thought of the festive season, people who can’t afford to treat their loved ones and won’t be sharing in the Christmas cheer.
This year will be the toughest in living memory for many of us as the cost of living crisis continues to bite and household bills rise.
So, we are asking people to donate a new & unwrapped toy at the YorkMix Toy Appeal collection points at “Santa’s workshop” located outside the South Entrance at York Designer Outlet & at Asda Monks Cross, between now and Sunday 11th of December. From there, the toys will delivered by our elves & given to the children who need them most in our local area.
We collect gifts for children of all ages from babies and pre-schoolers who might receive traditional toys and games from the appeal through to teenagers for whom you might consider donating items such as health and beauty products.
We want to make sure that no child goes without.
You don’t need to wrap your gifts, our elves will do everything for you. Of course you can also arrange your own collection point in your work place or school and then all you need to do is to arrange to drop them off at York Designer Outlet or ASDA as one.
Charity deliveries will begin on 6th December so we haven’t got long!
Charities in the local area can also register to receive toy appeal donations by applying for the Toy Appeal below.
