A much-loved York pizzeria has reopened its doors following a sudden closure earlier this week.
As previously reported, Cresci Pizzeria had to temporarily shut on Tuesday (1 July) due to a burst pipe, with staff initially unsure how long the closure would last.
Fortunately for pizza lovers, the team were able to welcome customers back to their Piccadilly restaurant at noon today.

Staff arrived on Tuesday to find flooding on the ground floor, prompting the unexpected closure. A note on the window read:
“Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be closed until further notice!”
After three days of hard work, the team successfully managed to get the site back up and running. Just in time for the weekend!
Cresci, named one of the 11 best restaurants in York by The Times, is usually open seven days a week.
Earlier today, the team shared on their instagram story, “See you all at 12!”
