A cyclist was assaulted and had his phone stolen while riding through York city centre.
Three young men are believed to have been involved in the incident, which happened today (Monday) at 1.30am.
The victim, a 60-year-old man from South Shields, was cycling when he was assaulted and had his phone and wallet taken.
He suffered a minor injury to his arm. The men left the scene on foot.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.”
