Three men arrested after incident in York street

Police are guarding a property on a York street after an incident which saw three people arrested.

It happened on Markham Crescent in the Groves, shortly before 5.30pm last night (Wednesday).

Today, scenes of crime officers were at the house, and the end of the street was cordoned off behind police tape.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to an incident at a residential address on Markham Crescent in York.

“Three men have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

“A scene guard is currently in place and is expected to remain for some time.”

It comes a week after police were called after a body was discovered in a house in the same street.

Two men were arrested as part of that investigation, which is ongoing.
