A collision involving three cars has led to congestion in York this morning.
The accident happened on the Tower Street roundabout at about 7.55am on Monday (3 June).
It involved three vehicles including a Citroen Picasso taxi and a Kia Picanto. Emergency services are at the scene.
The accident looks relatively minor, although the front wheel of one of the cars has come off.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said:
The driver is being taken to hospital by ambulance service to be checked over – they will be able to confirm nature of injuries.
The road was blocked. Motorists may wish to use alternative routes if possible.
The accident is causing tailbacks, on Tower Street, Nunnery Lane and other roads in the area.

Clifford Street Roundabout is blocked at present heading into town due to a RTA – Service that usually use this route are using Nunnery lane turning circle so no missed routes.
