Three people have been arrested in York today after a police operation involving two forces and air support.
The pursuit began when a VW Golf failed to stop for the North Yorkshire Police Firearms Support Unit.
Reinforcements were called in, including North Yorkshire Police operations support, as well as a team from Cleveland force and the National Police Air Service.
The car was eventually brought to a halt in the city using the ‘stinger’ to shred its tyres.
One of the occupants tried to run, but all three were arrested.
On Twitter, Sgt Paul Cording said a large amount of cash and drugs were discovered in the car.
And the driver tested positive for cocaine and cannabis on the Drug Wipe test.
Sgt Cording described the police operation as a “fantastic response by all involved”.
