Three people have been arrested following a spate of thefts on an estate in Selby.
One man has been charged with vehicle interference. He has been released on conditional bail, which stipulates he must adhere to a curfew.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We will deal with any breaches of conditional bail accordingly.
“The other two individuals, a man and a woman, have been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
“We’d like to reassure the local community that this a priority matter for your local policing team and we are aware of the upset these incidents have caused in the community.
“Officers will be proactively patrolling in the areas which have been affected, to provide reassurance to residents and a deterrence to any opportunistic criminals.
“We will continue our enquiries to ensure all available evidence is gathered and do our upmost to ensure those responsible are held accountable.”
