Happy Pride Month!
It’s officially Pride Month and time to celebrate being loud and proud – and there’s a whole host of events happening in York for members and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community.
As well as the main parade and festival this Saturday (7 June), there’s also events like cabarets, drag brunches, pub nights, walking tours and cruises to get involved in. Take a look at our full guide below.

The main festival
York Pride

North Yorkshire’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration and York’s biggest free one-day festival is back! Join the Parade from its new starting point on Parliament Street and march to the Knavesmire for music, entertainment, food and drink, and family fun. The main stage line-up includes headliners Angels of the North, and performances from La Voix, Kerry Ellis, The Cheeky Girls, Marcus Collins, Eva Iglesias, Pet Shop Boys, Actually, Janice D, Ryan Petitjean and more.

What’s on in York this Pride
York Lesbian Collective Pub Night

For one night only, The Crescent is transformed into a buzzing beer hall — a welcoming, vibrant space for York’s WLW community to come together.
In a city where it can sometimes be hard to feel seen, York Lesbian Collective are creating a safe, inclusive environment to socialise, connect, and express your identity. Whether you come solo, with a partner, or in a group, you’ll be surrounded by community — a space to meet, mingle, and feel truly at home. Expect pints flowing, a curated playlist of queer women and non-binary artists, and a late-night DJ set from York’s own Trainsbopping.

Impossible York Pride Party

From Dreamboys shaking it to drag queens slaying it, Impossible York has got it all! Kicking off the celebrations there’s Velma Celli performing her iconic cabaret drag show, after you’ve enjoyed the parade, Drag yourselves right back into town and join Impossible York for Drag Bottomless Brunch ft. a very special guest. Then get ready for Drag, Burlesque, The Ultimate Pop Duo and immersive entertainment in the form of their very own Dreamboys.

Pride at Spark

All you fabulous Pride-goers, come visit us from 9am to catch up with your friends, mingle with the community, and get parade ready! We’ll have free Pride face paint from 9am so you can don rainbows and sparkle – and we’ll also have sign-making stations so you can create placards for the march. Alex, from Face Paint York, will then be sticking around until 5:30pm so you can come back after the parade for more Pride fun.

A Queer Walk of York
