Thieves throw concrete block through York shop window and steal till

Thieves heaved a concrete block through the window of a business last night (Tuesday, 24 January).
The owners of the tailor’s on Farndale Avenue, Osbaldwick, discovered the damage this morning.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A concrete block was used to smash the front window of the property and a till was taken from inside.

“Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, in particular anyone who may have seen the incident and could assist in identifying a suspect.”
