Do you have a bicycle, skateboard, skates or another cool way to move on wheels?
Then this brand new event to York could be for you. York Bike Party are launching their inaugural ride this weekend – and they want you to get involved!
Bring your party vibes, themed-costume and cool lights and join the moving parade.
The event will take place on Sunday (4 May), starting at 2pm from the York Minster steps.
The ride will be a six mile ride through York with two ‘party stops’ with local DJs during the ride. There will also be music playing from speakers as participants cycle through the streets, so the party never stops.
The theme for the first ride is ‘Sock Wars’, aptly inspired by Star Wars for the date, so make sure to don your craziest socks before heading out.
“York Bike Party is part of a growing national movement to encourage having fun on a bicycle,” said event organiser Joseph Gilling.
“It’s a mobile party suitable for all ages. This will be our first event and we’re really exited to get rolling.”
