York Food & Drink Festival returns for 2019 with music, family fun and of course plenty of food and drink.

The festival lasts 10 days and is packed with fabulous flavours, delicious demonstrations, tasty trails and lots of free samples!

Drinks Trail

The trail, which includes non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic drinks, gives you the chance to explore York’s bar & café scene – you may even find a new favourite. Pick up your leaflet from St Sampson’s Square and once you have 6 stamps, come back and you can enjoy a deli platter. from our Grazing Café & 6 months membership to Craft Savvy.

Taste Trail

There are a host of samples & discounts on offer on the Taste Trail, from a range of food & drink businesses across York. 1 booklet is £6 or bring a friend for £9 and discover more of what the city has to offer.

Grazing Café

Found on St Sampson’s Square, the Grazing Café offers platters of deli items (including vegetarian & vegan options) from some of the best suppliers in York. With 3 items for £6 and suppliers changing daily, why not visit each day and try them all?

Fizz Bar

Treat yourself to a glass of bubbles (other drinks are also available), and relax – shopping & sightseeing is such hard work you deserve it!

This is your opportunity to try your hand at making, and sampling, some well known food items. With a number of work stations to visit and finishing at York Cocoa Works, this is a couple of hours enjoyment for all the family.

Gin Festival – 27th September

A perfect evening for gin lovers! Meet some of the owners of the regions best distilleries, sample their gin, claim your York Gin copa glass and take advantage of some exclusive discounts, all for just £22.50.

Wine Festival – 26th September

Wine suppliers from York and leading supermarkets, will gather for our annual wine festival on St Sampson’s Square. Get your glass and explore the large range of wines on offer, you might even find a new favourite – great value for £22.50

Mindfest

Running across 7 evenings of the festival, organised by YorkMind, the Music Marquee on Parliament Street plays host to Mindfest which showcases over 20 musicians and bands from York. Come along, support the musicians and YorkMind and enjoy.

Or just visit the Shambles Market which has great food, drinks and other craft items ALL year round.
