Three men have been arrested after a major police search operation in York.
Armed officers, dogs and the force helicopter were deployed in Acomb after a disturbance at a property on Highmoor Road.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said they were contacted at 2.20pm today (Saturday, 5 October) about the disturbance.
Officers went to the address and discovered a man with facial injuries. His property had also been damaged.
As a result of the search operation three males, aged 17, 19 and 21 were arrested this afternoon. They are in police custody.
Earlier a witness told YorkMix that they had seen two armed officers in Fishponds Wood at about 3.40pm.
The search seems to be concentrated on the Danebury Drive, Gale Lane and Beckfield Lane areas.
Several police vehicles were involved.
