Teenage boy arrested after man attacked in York city centre

A man was attacked by a group of teenage boys in York city centre.
The assault happened on Blake Street at 8pm on Tuesday (20 December).
A gang of teenage boys assaulted the man outside the McDonald’s restaurant.
He suffered injuries to his ear. One teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
The same boy was also arrested on suspicion of assault and assaulting an emergency worker.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have camera footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.”
