A new gym has opened in York – that aims to combine fitness, wellbeing and community.
The Recharge Hub, located on Kettlestring Lane, Clifton Moor Industrial Estate, in York, will feature a fully-equipped gym, large studio, and a range of treatments, classes and therapies.
In the gym there’s cardio equipment, free-weights, sled track and a variety of classes to get your heart pumping.
Treatments at the venue include sauna, steam pod, red-light therapy and ice bath. Classes such as stretch, pilates and yin yoga will also be available.
The Recharge Hub is founded and owned by personal trainers and ‘power couple’, Hannah and Marius. Hannah is a former dancer and owner of fitness brands EMPOWER and Hannah Kay Fitness, that aims to create a community for women of all ages and backgrounds.
Hannah is also a certified MHEC (Mental Health and Exercise Coach).
Marius, a former chef, is the owner of Indisputable Fitness and IF Supplements. Together, in February 2023, they created TEAM – Train, Elevate, Achieve and Motivate – a community that combines fitness with opportunities to make friends.
Since its inception, TEAM has grown and grown – and The Recharge Hub will be its permanent base.
TEAM and The Recharge Hub want to encourage not just fitness gains but friendship ones too – and members can join social events such as swap shops, pyjama parties, picnics and beach trips.
Membership at The Recharge Hub also come with additional benefits such as discounted Starbucks and climbing passes at Freeklime.
Memberships start from £30. Day passes are also available for £6 per person.
