Three fire crews were called to a fire in student accommodation yesterday (Wednesday).
Appliances from York, Acomb and Huntington went to the incident in Heslington, York at 5.15pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
“A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building.
“Crews also provided first aid to an 18 year old female suffering from smoke inhalation.”
