Emergency services were called in to York city centre last night after people were seen on top of a building.
Davygate was partially cordoned off as both police and the fire service responded to the incident at 9.11pm.
Fire crews brought the aerial platform to assist in the search.

The search was concentrated above the three-storey Caffe Nero branch and the Seasalt fashion shop.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Huntington assisted police to search a roof top after reports of people seen on top of a building.
“Crew used the aerial ladder platform to gain access. No persons were located and no further action was required.”
Davygate was then reopened.
