Coronation Street‘s Lisa George will star in the Grand Opera House York pantomime this year.
Swapping Weatherfield for wonder, Lisa will don the glittering wings and wand of the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, from Saturday 6 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026.
With a career spanning hit TV shows, musical theatre, and arena tours, Lisa is no stranger to the spotlight – and she’s ready to light up the stage in York like never before.
Known to millions as Beth Sutherland in ITV’s Coronation Street, Lisa is also a powerhouse performer with plenty of experience on the stage. A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, she has toured nationally in musicals, tribute shows and pantomimes, showcased her vocals on All Star Musicals, and skated into the nation’s hearts on Dancing on Ice.
She has even supported music legends like Little Richard and Chuck Berry, and released the acclaimed rockabilly album ‘The Devil Said Shake’ under the moniker Lisa George and The Pedalos.

Cinderella has a script by award-winning Jon Monie, and is packed with comedy, festive cheer, dazzling costumes and miniature ponies – yes, really! It is produced by UK Productions.
