The voice of an opera star could be heard echoing down Shambles in York today (Wednesday).
In this case, though, Katherine Jenkins was not singing – but talking to camera.
The mezzo-soprano and TV presenter was on the city’s most famous street filming for BBC show Songs Of Praise.
She filmed a segment linking to a pre-recorded interview by her fellow Songs Of Praise presenter Sean Fletcher with comedian Frank Skinner.
While on Shambles she had time to post an Instagram post, with a reference to how much its Harry Potter qualities would appeal to her daughter five-year-old daughter Aaliyah Reign.
“Out and about in York today filming another episode of Songs of Praise,” Katherine wrote.
“Aaliyah will be so excited that Mummy was working in Diagon alley – if only the wand shop had been open!”
