Police investigating a theft and assault at a York supermarket want to talk to this man.
The incident happened outside the main entrance of Asda, Monks Cross at around 4.45pm on Tuesday 1 August.
Today police issued this CCTV image as part of their enquiries.
A man is suspected to have taken bottles of wine and spirits from the shelf and exited the store without paying.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “He was approached by a store security guard who was assaulted. Thankfully, he was not injured during the incident.
“Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the man in the CCTV image as they believe he will be able to assist the investigation.”
