Police have made a second arrest as they investigate a stabbing in York at the weekend.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in York this morning (29 March) and is in police custody for questioning.
The 25-year-old man who was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, has been released on conditional police bail.
As we reported yesterday, a man is in hospital with stab wounds after being attacked in the Apollo Street area.
He made it to Efes Pizza on Heslington Road at about 10.20pm on Saturday and asked the owner to call police.
Both Apollo Street and Heslington Road were cordoned off for most of Sunday as police conducted house-to-house enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area last night or has doorbell or other private CCTV of Apollo Street or Heslington Road, or was passing through and may have dashcam footage we ask that you please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass any information to York CID.
