A motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash this morning has died of his injuries.
The collision happened on the B1222 at the junction with Whitecote Lane near Sherburn-in-Elmet.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The incident occurred around 10.15am today when it is believed a motorcyclist left the road and came off his bike.

“Police believe there may have been another motorcyclist with the one involved in the collision so we are urgently appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information or dashcam footage which could help the investigation.”
In an update at 7.12pm, police said: “We’re sad to report that the motorcyclist involved in this collision has died as a result of his injuries.”
