Charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £5,000 in the hope of encouraging people to speak up if they have information on the whereabouts of serial criminal Alfred Dear.
Dear is wanted on a warrant after failing to return to court during the course of his trial for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. He was found guilty and will be sentenced on the 20 December.
He is the head of an organised crime group who were involved in the large scale supply of Class A drugs, namely heroin into York from outside of the county.

Alfred Dear has served prison sentences in the past for the supply of heroin and possession with intent to supply heroin, and for affray and assault.
The 45 year old is also charged in connection with an organised theft of a cash machine in the Humberside Police area and is on conditional bail which he is in breach of.
Crimestoppers charity is now offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information that leads to his arrest.
