A woman has been injured in a fall down a riverbank in York this afternoon (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the incident, close to Shipton Road in Rawcliffe shortly after 4pm.
Ambulance crews asked the fire service to help them rescue the woman.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb has been called to assist paramedics with a female who has fallen down a riverbank.
“Due to the location of this incident, the York boat was also mobilised to transport the casualty to an ambulance waiting at a more accessible location.”
They added that the incident was still ongoing.
