Issued by City of York Council
Explore York Library Learning Centre is set to welcome award winning crime author Peter Robinson on Thursday 22 August, as he discusses his latest novel and literary influences.
Cllr Sonja Crisp, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism for City of York Council said: “I am delighted that Peter Robinson is visiting the city to discuss his experiences as an award winning author and to look at his new book, Children Of The Revolution, the latest in the hugely popular DCI Banks series.
“It will be fascinating to hear Peter discuss his influences and attachment to Yorkshire, where the DCI Banks novels are based.
“The event starts at 7pm and tickets can be purchased for just £5, this price includes a glass of wine or fruit juice.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to hear from a recognised author and hopefully this talk will inspire residents to take up writing and read more, which is an important part of City of York Council’s libraries work.”
Tickets for this event can be purchased from any City of York Council library or can be bought online.
