At 20:57 Fire Control received a call to report a property fire in the Lord Mayor’s Walk area of York.
Two appliances from York attended and found a fire within a pan in the first floor communal kitchen. There were three occupants within the property who all left the property unaided.
All three occupants were treated by paramedics on scene for light smoke inhalation but were not taken to hospital.
The fire caused fire damage to the pan, 80 per cent smoke damage to the kitchen and light smoke damage to three bedrooms. Crews used one 9m ladder, two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan. The cause is due to a pan being left unattended.
