Police seek tattooed man over assault in York

Police are looking for a man with distinctive tattoos in connection with an assault in York.

The assault happened on East Parade, Heworth between 6.30am and 7am on Tuesday, January 24.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward or anyone that can help identify the man described below.

The man is…

in his 50s or 60s
of average height and build
with distinctive tattoos on both hands
and stubble

He was wearing

a black beanie type hat
green jacket with cream or white fur around the collar
and glasses
