On Tuesday we revealed the ordeal of York man Kieran Skelton.
Kieran had been attacked at the end of a night out on Sunday (December 10).
He was near the Duncombe Place taxi rank next to York Minster at about 3.50am and the next thing he knew he woke up in a pool of blood.
Twenty-two year old Kieran was taken to hospital having suffered a broken nose and concussion.

He told us: “I can’t remember anything other then being covered in blood and seeing a pool of my own blood on the floor.”
Now police have revealed more details about what happened in a renewed appeal for witnesses.
Police say Kieran was headbutted by an unknown man in what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.
And they have issued this description of his attacker.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at that time and saw the assault.
