Police are investigating fires at two homes close to one another in York today (Friday).
As YorkMix reported earlier, York and Acomb firefighters were called out to two incidents in the early hours.
They responded to a report of a shed on fire on St Benedict Road at 3.48am.
Then, at 4.19am, crews were called to put out another shed fire, this time on Ebor Street.
Today, the fire service Station Manager for York, Selby & Tadcaster Tony Walker said on Twitter: “Crews from York attended two separate shed fires in the early hours of the morning, just off Nunnery Lane.
“The fires spread to adjacent houses and caused considerable damage. Cause now under investigation.”
